Hello There!

It's really exciting to finally have my own little space in the vastness of the interweb. I've always really liked looking at hand-crafted personal websites, each of them unique in their own ways, that reflect their owners personalities. Sadly, nowadays most people cling to bigger social media sites that force you to play by their rules; no long and meaningful blog posts, no fun with CSS, restrictive terms of use, data mining, Web3, and the whole 'updoot' culture are all big reasons why I have a personal disdain for sites like this. Thankfully there are still a lot of people that actually make their own websites and try to create something meaningful with their own hands, and not just on Neocities, as you can see by, for example, browsing wiby. But I suppose you aren't here for listening to me wax poetic about something a lot of other people with their own little webpage on here have already voiced their opinions about similarly, so let me tell you more about what I actually want to do here.
I like to create some stuff from time to time that I want to share with the wider world, so I made myself a website. As you might've already seen on my works page, a lot of these creations are drawings, image edits, or colorized photos, and I also like to imagine alternate history scenarios. I felt like the medium of a dedicated web page would be much better suited than whatever social media sites exist since I can decide for myself how each page is supposed to be structured and what elements work best with my ideas. There's still a lot I may do that could be added to this website in my free time. I also think that if my things are being published somewhere online, I can motivate myself to actually create more stuff and not forget about or get bored with it. A couple of my projects ended up that way, so let's hope it won't happen that much anymore. While this is an HTML 5 site, I mostly tried to utilize elements from HTML 4 and CSS 2 to achieve greater compatibility with older or simpler web browsers, similarly with the exclusion of JavaScript, but that one also has the added negative effect of just, in my opinion, not really adding anything useful to most websites and just kind of slowing them down for no good reason.
I really hope this website will be able to entertain you in one way or another and that I'll be able to update it at least once in a while.
